The age we live in belongs to technology, innovation and global warming. Truly the first two terms describe the goodness of scientific development and the third term shows the bad effects. Our carelessness and exploitation of resources have lead to disastrous effects on the planet. One of the major concerns of the modern times is reckless use of energy of all kinds including electricity, knowing that these are limited resources. In the past decade or so, people have realized their mistakes and are finding alternate ways to slow down the effects of global warming and in some ways reverse them. Energy saver lights are one of the steps being adopted worldwide to do their bit to protect earth.

Specialty of Energy Saver Lights:

People have been using various kinds of light bulbs to illuminate their surroundings be it in houses, offices, schools, hospitals, etc. Special kinds of bulbs are used for specific purposes. Compared to the usual light bulbs, the energy efficient lights are better in two ways. They drastically reduce emission of CO2 and also save good amount of electricity. The modern day energy saver lights are produced with cutting edge technology and contribute a lot in conserving precious energy and by being gentle on the environment. The various kinds of energy efficient lights include compact lights, globe bulb, flood lamp, florescent tube lamps and decorative lights. They can be used for anything from household usage to light up outdoors, decorations and so on.

Advantages of Energy Saver lights:

• Conserves Energy- A florescent light brings the energy consumption crashing down compared to the usual light bulbs. It emits bright light but does not use the same amount of energy which was consumed traditionally. An energy saver light of 16-18W will produce same amount of light as a traditional 60W bulb. This means if all or most of the normal bulbs are replaced with such bulbs, in the long run you will be saving good amount of money.

• Less harmful to the environment- the traditional light bulbs emit both light and heat when they are switched on. This means continuously the surroundings are being heated and CO2 is being released. Contrary to this, an energy saver light will emit great amount of light but the amount of heat produced will be very less.

• Long lasting- the energy efficient bulbs run up to 12 times more than an average light bulb. This means you need not worry about frequently bulbs getting damaged during electricity fluctuation and having to buy new ones every now and then.

• Savings compromise for cost- definitely energy saver lights are much more expensive compared to the usually light bulbs. But they make up for it by running efficiently for a long time and consistently saving energy. The savings on the bill amount will be bigger than their price tag.

• No change in fittings- the modern day energy efficient lights are compatible with most of the old styled bulb holders and fittings. Energy saving fittings are also available in the market to take your savings even higher.
