Choosing the Right Pool Interior is a Matter of Personal Preference
If you’ve decided to build a custom swimming pool in your backyard, it will be the first of many decisions when it comes to deciding on the details of your custom pool design. One such decision is what type of interior to choose for your pool. Is there a best pool interior, and if so what is it? The experienced custom pool builders of Hop Cassidy Pools, Inc. suggest speaking with your pool contractor to get a better idea of the options available to you. In the meantime, here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing your pool interior.
It is important to consider your surroundings when deciding on a pool interior. For example how much sunlight will your pool receive, and how harsh is that sunlight? What coloring effect do you want your water to have? In essence choosing a pool interior is a decision based on personal preferences, color, texture and overall design and longevity. Options include:
Traditional Plaster – a traditional plaster finish may be the most affordable finish, but it also is prone to cracking, chipping and wear and tear over time, and may also stain easier than other finishes.
Pebble – By now we’ve all seen pool interiors made from pebble and are familiar with what a wonderful look they can bring to any swimming pool. Pebble finishes are also much more durable than plaster.
Quartz – is used within plaster or Ultra Poz in order to bring color to your white finish.
Ultra Poz – a smooth and long-lasting surface that is gentle on feet and is resistant to stains and the adverse effects of chemicals.
Tile – Tile is smooth on the feet, prone to a longer lifespan than most any other surface, and is available in a variety of colors and patterns.
These are just some of the options you’ll come across when choosing a pool interior. Whatever your choice, make certain it reflects your taste and accentuates your future pool’s surroundings in a positive way. In addition, make sure it is affordable and that the interior you choose reflects the amount of maintenance you are prepared to do. Pool contractors Hop Cassidy Pools, Inc. invites you to discuss your options in detail with their experienced pool building professionals.
