Ready to Fly Remote Control Helicopters

By Javed Khan Subscribe to RSS | February 29th 2012 | Views:

The electric version of remote control helicopters is gaining popularity in recent years because of the new developments or improvements that are made on radio-control toy vehicles. As such, a lot of creators of these small flying toys are coming up with better quality at cheaper prices. As a matter of fact, there are already what we call “ready to fly” helicopters are that are available in toy stores or shops.

These ready-to-fly RC toy helicopters are not an entirely new concept. This phrase dates back to the time when the traditional version of RC aviation came out. If you are wondering what this phrase means, it initially meant requiring no assembly. However, this didn’t mean that the toy doesn’t need tuning, or even tinkering prior to flying it into the air. In other words, it still needs a little setting up.

So if you are expecting your remote control helicopters to fly right away the moment you take it out of the box, then you are mistaken. This is not what always happens. In the contrary, a lot of new owners of these “ready-to-fly” helis find them very difficult to control or maneuver, all the more when you try to keep them flying in the air. This is particularly true when it comes to four channel versions.

If you are up to a little challenge, you can always opt for the co-axle versions that can be available in the stores and are relatively much easier to control. However, they also require practice to be able to master the tricks in flying them.

Moreover, this kind of helicopter that has spinning rotor blades can be a cause of serious injuries so it is better that an experienced pilot handles it. If you are flying this toy for the first time, it can easily get out of your control. Apparently, even the co-axle version is not easy to handle. So it is really very rare to see a toy helicopter that is completely ready to fly out of the box.

But if you will learn how to fly these remote control helicopters using a simulator, it will be much easier for you to maneuver them. You have to practice a lot to be able to successfully control it. As always, flying these little machine entails patience and determination from day one.

If you are also going to buy one of these flying RC toys soon, don’t expect it to have everything that you will need in order to fly it. At times, there are parts that you have to buy separately, such as the battery pack. If you want to take this hobby to the next level, you must be able to know the different components of your toy. Your initial purchase won’t have all the things you will need to fly your toy.

But the good news is that there really some remote control helicopters that are ready to fly. These are the 2-channel ones. You can visit a toy store now and ask how this works.
