Oven cleaning is one of the most essential and integral parts of house cleaning. Sadly though, the task is not as easy said as done. To help you out, we have prepared a list of suggestions. In the first place you need to determine the type of oven you have. In doing so, it would be advisable to read the manufacturer's or maker’s manual carefully and minutely. It has to be remembered that every single oven comes with unique qualities and applying a uniform method of cleaning might damage its system. This is one point you need to bear in mind while performing bbq cleaning as well. So, what you need at the outset are chemical resistance gloves, a large tub, damp clothes or sponge, oven cleaner, white vinegar or baking soda and plastic scrub pad.

Before you begin, it is imperative to ensure that the room or space is well ventilated. This is because the oven cleaner tends to create toxic fumes, which when left unventilated may cause harm to you and your family members.

Start by cleaning the racks. In doing so, take them out first. Next, get them soaked in a hot water tub. Put some chemical cleaner or soap into the water and leave the solution as it is for half an hour minimum. Now, start cleaning the remaining parts of the kitchen appliance. Once your cleaning operation has come full circle, wipe the racks down, leave them out for drying and place them back inside the oven.

If you own a self-cleaning variety, then your oven cleaning task gets easier. In case of these easy-to-clean appliances, apply the self-cleaning cycle first. Once the program is over or complete, wipe down every single bit of residue with damp cloth or sponge. It is the responsibility of the gadget owner to pay due attention to the rubbery gasket sealing the door off. It should never be scrubbed.

If, in case, your oven does not belong to the self-cleaning category, oven cleaners would do the job. Be sure to have gloves made preferably of rubber to keep your skin protected against toxic and harmful chemicals during the oven cleaning process. Next, the oven cleaner needs to be applied to the interiors and left for three hours. Now, scrub hard and get the interiors rinsed. Make sure that chemical cleaners have been removed completely before you start re-suing the appliance.
