When the condition of your eye-sight deteriorates to an extent where you are no longer able to read anything without viewing them upfront, then consider getting single-vision reading glasses. There are two major varieties of Reading glasses available in the market today- full frames where the lens is entirely made or prepared in reading prescriptions and half-eyes which denote glasses sitting lower down on your nose.

Full reading glasses have been designed specifically for people who spend half their time concentrating or focusing on material close-ups. The moment you try and look up and view the room through such glasses, the vision appears blurry.

The half eye variety, on the other hand, enables the user to look both down and across the lenses for material close-up and over them to view everything at a distance. In normal parlance, people who have not used Glasses even once in their entire lifetimes are likely to start with reading glasses instead of progressive lenses or bifocals. The latter is recommended when the person needs support for both near corrections and distant viewing all at one go.

Handy accessories for regular use such as your evening in a half or dimly lit eatery normally include small foldable readers, which fit comfortably in pen-sized magnifiers or cases. They hang like pendants around your neck wherever you go.

You are most likely to have come across plastic lenses mounted in tiny holders-the size of a credit card. These sleek products are not going to help you in any manner whatsoever if you use them while reading a book. However, when it comes to deciphering tiny alphabets on an urgent note, they will give you optimum support.

There are countless stores stocking reading glasses with UV protection which you can wear for a sojourn outdoors. Of them, the sunglass bifocal is by far the most popular type. They feature a nonprescription upper half for you to look far away and reading prescription lower half to see things up close.
