Human intelligence is not limited to the knowledge of books and they are not limited by the distances.

The virtual world enables us to interact with the people who are living far away from us without any geographical confinement. It is very crucial to a child's growth and development into an emotionally healthy child by promoting emotional intelligence in them right from their childhood. This type of child performs well in their careers and become successful. Here are few tips which can help you in developing emotional intelligence in the child. Encourage Reading: It’s true that knowledge is not restricted to books but it depends on what kind of books you are reading.

Children are mostly interested in reading stories which help in making your children morally strong by subtly introducing them to a variety of life experiences. They also get the chance understand different perspectives of people and how to deal with diverse situations which may occur in their life. Participation in Extracurricular Activities in School: It helps in real-life interaction of your kids with others of the same age and promotes emotional intelligence amongst them. It also helps the children to express themselves, deal with their emotions and brings about self-awareness as they discover new aspects of their own personality. It also encourages healthy competition and fosters your child to polish their skills.

More Play Time with Other Children: When your children come back from school, encourage them to go out and play with other kids in the neighborhood. Play is an act which gives the child relaxation. This is the time when children display their true nature, attitude and playground is an unstructured place where they socialize. Involve Children at Home: Try to involve your children with family activities. It is a common misconception among the parents to keep children away from issues.

They don’t want to put any burden on the child so they don’t share the family issues with them. Involve them in decisions like what to buy from the supermarket on a grocery budget, even for the big purchases like a car or a new television set, ask their help to make sweets for festivities, take care of the dog or help in cleaning the kitchen. It brings a sense of responsibility among them. It is very crucial to develop emotional intelligence in children because it assures healthy and satisfying childhood. This way they develop abilities to reason out and think logically which help them in the later part of life to become successful individuals.
