It is not uncommon for students to seek help with statistics homework. This usually happens because, in most cases statistics problems involve lot of data which makes the problem lengthy and there may not be enough time at school to be able to solve the complete problem. Therefore the student ends up looking for statistics homework help online once they are at home and working on their own without any teacher around to assist them.

Statistics homework help you to understand the concepts of mean, median, mode, variance, standard deviation, range, mean deviation and many other statistical parameters. The best way to tackle your statistics home work, is to carefully understand the concepts when taught in school.

If possible get your school instructor to solve a small example problem in class work with lesser number of data values. That way it would not consume time and you would be able to understand the concept as well. Smaller problems with lesser data can be solved in class work under the able guidance of the tutor. The larger statistics problems with lots of data are best left for homework. But if you would have tried the shorter problem in class work, then you would not need help with statistics homework.

For statistics it is not too difficult to do that because most statistics problem under a given subtopic are similar. The only difference being the size of data. Consider the following example:

Class work problem:

Find the mean, median, mode, range and standard deviation of the marks obtained by 5 students in a test of 20 marks. The marks are as follows: 14, 18, 8, 16 and 11.

The above problem can be quickly solved since there are only 5 numbers that you need to work with. So adding, subtracting, squaring etc would take lesser amount of time.

Homework problem:

Based on the above class work problem, the home work problem can look like this:

Find the mean, median, mode, range and standard deviation of the marks obtained by 25 students in a test of 20 marks. The marks are as follows: 14, 18, 8, 16, 11, 11, 13, 17, 10, 14, 5, 8, 10, 13, 16, 7, 12, 17, 9, 12, 10, 11, 15, 13, 13 and 16.

The method of solution for this homework problem would be the same as the class work problem. But since the number of data is more, (25 instead of 5), the time taken for solving would be more.
