Aragon borders France with the outstanding and magnificent mountainous landscapes of Pyrenees. It is also home to numerous natural preserves and glacier lakes which make the region one of the most popular especially among adventure lovers. Within the hot spots you will enjoy viewing animals which have long been extinct in other Spanish regions. You will enjoy the beautiful contrast that the different landscapes here emanate.

This region has a total of three provinces namely Teruel, Huesca and Zaragoza. The provinces have beautiful monumental towns and you will enjoy what each has to offer you during your tour of the region. You will even get the chance to enjoy the medieval Spanish culture in some of these towns. Mountain ranges found here offer endless possibilities of winter sports and during the warmer months you will have the chance of exploring the natural virgin paradise that is the region.

Other outstanding features of this region include the folklore, art and gastronomy. The cities most attractive and popular in the region are;

Zaragoza: located near Ebro River, this city happens to be the capital of Aragon. It is considered to be among Spain’s most attractive monumental cities and the historic heritage here is therefore rich. The numerous museums here have evidence and well documented facts on the Moorish and Roman heritages. You will need to visit the museums to learn a few things about the past of the region.

Teruel: the monuments here showcase the Mudejar style which is famed across the country. They are most notable and prove the dominance of Moors in the region. Some of the monuments which cannot be missed in this city include San Martin churches, El Salvador and San Pedro as well as the beautiful cathedral which has beautiful bell towers.

Huesca: you will find this city at Pyrenees Mountain Range’s foot. The landscapes here are simply breathtaking and incredible especially as far as the natural beauty is concerned. It is the most ideal area for those who love exploring and enjoying nature as a result of the many activities it can offer during the different seasons of the year.

Aragon is one of those regions in Spain with numerous options to offer to its visitors and you will easily manage to enjoy your holiday within any part of the wonderful region. It has something interesting in all its path therefore any time spent here is worth.
