It is something that would interest all those who try to decipher why it attracts so many people in rising numbers from all over the world- a phenomenon that happens every year and has been taking place for hundreds of years.

People from different parts of the globe have heard so much about the Indian subcontinent that all those who have not been to India are now filled with this increasing urge to travel to India. This eagerness is reflected by their enthusiasm about the country and frequent visits to India. Many would wonder what is so special about tourism in India. And what is it that which helps the country to leave an everlasting impression on the minds of all those who travel to India?

Tourism in India

Many travel to India and spend their holidays here to discover the riches the country has to offer because India is truly unique and very different from the West. With its federating states and union territories that give it a distinct character of its own, India has many shades of life layered in it.

Loaded with its interesting mix of a variety of cultures, religions, traditions, customs and practices, it can be said that India is a country that has multiple personalities in order. Be it education or science, medicine or archaeology, the craze of the film industry or the goodness of humanitarian service, trade or commerce, adventure sports or any other field for that matter, the country has a little something for everybody and much more to offer. Many come here for holy pilgrimage, to visit the beautiful temples, mosques and monasteries while others take a tour of India in search of spiritual growth and for the enlightenment of the mind and the soul.

India tourism for foreigners who have never been here before means to unravel the mystery behind the country that is known for its varied diversity and rich flavors of life. They go on different tours in India to experience its verdant beauty, sylvan surroundings, pristine lakes, rivers and ocean, vast stretches of wilderness, snow dusted mountains, breathtaking orchards and rich wildlife reserve. What entices foreigners and visitors on India tours further has to include its busy roads, authentic cuisines that have a history of their own India, historical monuments that speak of the remains of the bygone era, its rich heritage and its unmatched shopping experiences.
