North Eastern India is a myriad of breathtaking, pristine beauty and colorful vibrant traditions that make it an appealing area for tourists to savor and enjoy. How to reach North East India: You can travel from Delhi/Mumbai to Guwahati by flight from where you can travel by rail or road to other North-eastern states.

3. Arunachal Pradesh: This is a mystical and magical land with many attractions for tourists like the Polo Park, Buddhist temple, Ganga Sekhi Lake, and Tawang monastry. Arunachal Pradesh is famous for its bamboo work handicrafts and carpets.

4. Meghalaya: One of the most scenic North eastern states of India, the tourist spots in Meghalaya includes Shillong peak, Elephanta falls and Cherrapunjee (famous for limestone caves and orange honey). Meghalaya is a haven for adventure tourists and wildlife enthusiasts.

5. Mizoram: Bordering Myanmar and Bhutan, this land of spiritual appeal is a home to rare flora and fauna as well as thick bamboo forests. Places of interest include Tamdil Lake, Phawngpui (Mizoram’s highest peak) and Champhai (famous for its view of the Myanmar hills)

6. Nagaland: Another veritable beauty of North east India, tourists can visit the Itangki wildlife sanctuary, Triple falls and Cathedral of Reconciliation. Nagaland is most well known for its calm, tranquil and scenic surroundings.

7. Tripura: A colorful mix of history, museums, temples and cultures, Tripura is the smallest state in India known for its interesting kaleidoscope of spirituality and traditions. Places of interest include the Ujjyanti palace, Kunjaban palace, Dumboor Lake and Jagannath temple.

A veritable treat for the senses, North East India tourism is an interesting option for an upcoming vacation.
