Click some amazing pictures of the breath-taking scenery and take back with you wonderful memories of your tour to Coorg.

An Indian Holiday tour would be incomplete without visiting this bewildering hill town.

Major attractions on your holiday in Coorg:

Raja’s Seat: This is a must place to visit for all the nature lovers. As you reach this place you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the snow-capped hills. Click amazing pictures of the sunsets and marvel at the beauty of nature. History has it that, here at this place the kings would sit and watch the breathtaking view of the sunsets. Today, you can also find a garden all around Raja’s Seat to give you some more places to relax.

Omkareshwara Temple: This fascinating temple was established in 1820. It was constructed by Linga Rajendra II with Muhammadan style architecture. Here at this temple you will see a center dome and four corners with turrets. Legend has it that the king had ordered the death of a pious Brahmin and later built this temple to appease the spirits of the Brahmin. It would not be wrong to say that the temple resembles a Muslim dargah.

Madikeri Fort: This magnificent fort has an interesting story of its own. The Fort was previously made out of mud. However, later it was re-built by Tipu Sultan with stone. Here in the fort you will come across two mortar elephants, built life-size. This is the major attractions for tourists visiting the fort. Another amazing fact about the fort is that as you go inside you will find a gothic-style church built during the British rule. It is said that the church was constructed after replacing the temple of Virabhadra in 1855. Today, the church has been re-constructed into a museum. Your Holiday in Coorg will be in vain without visiting this fort.

Abbi Falls: If you are looking forward for spending a relaxed time with your family, you should definitely visit this place. This is an amazing picnic spot. Spend some rejuvenating time with the loved ones and forget all about the hotchpotch of busy and chaotic city life. Be one with the nature!

Gaddige: This is another monument in Coorg which you must not miss out to visit. Also known as Rajas’ tombs or the tombs of Virarajendra this monument also lets you have a mesmerizing glimpse of the entire town. The construction of this monument is in the Muhammadan style.

Bylakuppe: This is one of the biggest Tibetan settlements in south India. A visit to this place will let you come across many monasteries. Visit the Great Gompa of Sera Je, Sera Mey, the Namdroling monastery, the Mahayana Buddhist University, the Tashi Lhumpo monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, etc. Let the beautiful gold-coated Buddhist statues in these monasteries leave you speechless.

These are not all. Coorg has so much more to offer. With your holiday in the hill town, you are sure to explore something new every day.
