This Balearic Island is a few miles from the southern coast of Mallorca. It is not talked about much and the beaches here can be very lonely. It is however a great place for those looking for quiet holiday full of relaxation. It is a nature preserve having been declared so back in the 1991. It is now controlled by the nature conservation nature of Spain.

Cabrera is the main island in this archipelago and the rest are smaller islands totaling 18. The island is simply a nature paradise and its untouched nature only makes it the more natural attractive. You will find more than a hundred bird species and more than four hundred plant species. It is therefore a great place for those who love enjoying nature at its best. It has an ecological system that is sensible and unique.

With all the preservation within the island, it means that only a small portion of the island can be toured. This is on Puerto de Cabrera. From here you will still have a lot of fun things to do and see thereby making your holiday enjoyable in every way. Those who love diving will find the bays of Es Dimoni and Cala Galiota ideal. They are the only bays within which diving is allowed and they are indeed true paradises as far as the activity is concerned.

The much that you can do within Cabrera is enjoy the natural grounds but you need to remember that since it is a natural preserve, fishing, hunting and even the collection of plants and minerals is forbidden. It is always a good thing to know what is allowed and what is not in any holiday destination as a way of keeping off trouble with the local authorities. You can get more information about tourism in the area from the information center for tourists at center d’interpretacio de Cabrera. The information revolves around the island’s natural beauties and other formalities when visiting the natural park.

Nature is best enjoyed without any interference to it and Cabrera is an island you are sure to enjoy nature at its best. This island, unlike most others, is yet to be spoiled by human hand and therefore is a great spot for green peaceful holiday. It might not have as many adventures as the rest of the islands but it is still worth visiting especially by those who love natural grounds.
