American cuisine is the most popular cuisines around the world which originates from the United States of America. Their cuisine is not typically traditional as the cuisine that’s followed now originates from the colonization of the Americans by the European countries and the influence of immigrants down the years. The cuisine is known for its fast food and probably the term originated from here! And the food that is most popular in America is Chocolate! They produce and consume the largest amount of chocolates around the world. The other popular food is ice creams, pastries, burgers, submarines, steaks etc. not exactly healthy food but scores high in the taste department. The country is filled with so many diners and eat-outs that it is hard to choose one from the other. One can go there just to try the myriad types of food that is produced. Famous joints like Mc. Donald’s and KFC was founded there. The next popular cuisine is the English cuisine. They have a traditional form of cuisine that ranges from the British pie to puddings. A typical British cuisine was not very fancy and the ingredients used were local and they were accompanied with sauces that helped in enhancing the flavor of the dish rather than over powering them. But now, there are a lot of dishes that have been influenced by people from different cuisine. For example, the chicken tikka is a popular dish among the British but their origin is from India. There are other meals like the local fish and chips which used to be a street food, mashed potatoes, pies and puddings have all evolved with people coming in from different countries influencing the cuisine, the biggest influence of the British food is the French cuisine. Another highlight is their milk and milk products especially cheese and butter which is available in abundance.
Chinese cuisine has slowly become one of the world’s popular cuisines. They are further classified regionally. One may not be able to find the same cuisine in the north and south of china! Some of the famous are Guangdong cuisine, Shandong cuisine, Jiangsu cuisine and Sichuan cuisine. The Guangdong cuisine also known as the Cantonese cuisine comes from southern China. This is the most popular cuisine around the world and the most common ingredients used for this cuisine are spring onion, soya, rice wine, cornstarch, sesame oil, etc. frying is not the popular method used for this cuisine. The Shandong cuisine has played an important role in evolution. Many of the techniques used in this cuisine are followed widely in China and it is famous for sea food. Jiangsu cuisine comes from a region called Jiangsu. The food is known for its softness, it is cooked really soft but not extremely that it falls apart when taken. It is also known for the color, ingredients used according to seasons, shape of each dish and different soup for every dish. The last is the Sichuan cuisine which is famously known as the Szechwan cuisine and is known for its bold flavors. The food is filled with pungency and spice which is a result of using garlic and the famous Szechwan pods. Unlike what many may think, the Szechwan pods have a more citrus flavor to it than being spicy. The spiciness comes from the chili oil that is used in this cuisine.
