Immigrating to the UK can be such an exciting experience. It can mean a lot of things for different people but nonetheless, it will always mean a new journey, more opportunities and growing career wise. More and more people are becoming interested to come to UK, even more, thousands of people move to UK. The rise of immigration for UK is something that has been happening for the past years and if you really have high hopes in moving to the UK then it is advisable to get familiar on how the process works especially with the new immigration rules in UK.

These new immigration rules in UK will affect, well, practically every person from outside Europe planning to move in to UK. These new set of rules have been proposed way back in the year 2011 but took effect just this year of 2012.

Because immigrating to UK is based on a point system composed of 5 tiers, you will have to find out first what these tiers are and know where to fall under. People will be placed on any of the tiers according to the criteria they meet. The tiers are grouped according to a person’s educational level, skill and other categories that is related to getting a job that they would most likely have when they are already in UK.

The point based system of UK immigration has 5 tiers. Tier 1 is where the highly skilled workers are part of. Those who will be categorized under this tier are businessmen/businesswomen, investors and exceptionally talented individuals. Tier 2 is for skilled for workers who are directly hired by a UK employer or have job offers. People on this category have finished college and have higher degrees—nurses, teachers, doctors and other professionals belong here. Tier 3 is for low-skilled workers, Tier 4 are for students who are interested in studying in UK and Tier 5 is for temporary workers. Due to the new immigration rules in UK, if you happen to belong to higher tiers, there is that possibility that applying for an immigration visa to UK would be much harder. The new immigration rules in UK is lowering the number of people coming into UK by setting a higher standard for the jobs offered to individuals outside Europe. Thus, immigration will keep a good eye on people who are able to provide a better quality of work compared to a UK citizen.

But people interested in coming to UK should not feel discouraged or back out on their plans as there are UK immigration solicitors. These immigration solicitors are people who help applicants with the immigration process. These are the rightful people to approach because they are experts in this field—practically anything that has something to do with immigration may it be about visas, citizenship and other legal issues related to immigration. People can ask for assistance to these immigration experts as they have in-depth knowledge of the prevailing laws regarding immigration. Because acquiring visa immigration can be such a delicate process, even small things that do not conform to the process can ruin the chances of getting to UK so make sure you consult with UK immigration solicitors to avoid situations such as this.
