Importance of having fun at job
Job scenario in India is definitely on a high and with time it is highly dependent on the atmosphere a job provides to its employees. Employees today are looking for various options in their job to have equal amount of extra interactive and bonding activities which keeps them engage apart from the normal working hours at a particular job. And the importance of fun at jobs is also very popular among the today’s generation where good times are of equal importance other than just working in a monotonous working environment.
Companies today are also getting aware of the demanding scenario among employees and are engaging them in different fun and involving activities where employees get a chance to interact with one another which in return is favorable for company’s growth. In a company or a job where working class knows each other pretty well and is bonded well too have greater chances of gaining success and increasing the productivity in comparison to the companies where the interactions among employees are less.
At jobs the situation gets a little monotonous and stagnant after a while which is the most important factor of employees looking for a change. But in a company where incentives are in terms of fun filled activities or rewarding the employees for their performances in a certain activity apart from monetary hikes also keeps the employees motivated for their work.
The benefits to a pleasant and happy workplace are definitely is that it has happy employees which are more loyal and productive at work. The absenteeism and tardiness rate may decrease as people look forward to going to work for what today is in store for them.
With laughter as one of the most important healer in any kind of psychological illness the rate of sick leaves may also decrease which is directly proportional to the turnover and productivity of a company. In such type of activities managers or supervisors can be seen also as team players, who also get a chance to relax and enjoy life.
The use of fun and humor in the workplace must be appropriate in nature. It should be made sure that the humor used should not be offensive to the ordinary or reasonable person. It can also effectively reduce the level and intensity of conflict among employees, if properly used. Therefore, fun activities have become an essential part of an organization to maintain a respectable employee’s satisfaction record rate.
