Are you stagnating in your current job? Do you speak two or more languages? Are you willing to work in another country? Would an international job meet your requirements? If any of the above is applicable in your case, then we have something for you.

It is a well-known fact that in today’s competitive international job market, knowing more than one language is very important job-wise. With many major companies and now even upcoming smaller ones fighting for international contracts, a prospective employee knowing the language of the place of employment puts you head and shoulders above others looking for the same position. Okay, maybe your qualification and experience are not on par with some of the other candidates, but knowledge of the language, the customs, and cultural norms of the country that you are applying for, make you the better choice than other monolingual candidates.

Advantages of Hiring Multilingual Employees

Having a multilingual team at your disposal, you can better represent your product or provide service to prospective clients in the international job market. Many clients would be more than willing to work with a company that understands their requirement straight away rather than going through an interpreter to explain every step of the project. You are able to take in their specific requirements, make suggestions, keeping in mind their cultural ideology, and execute their needs perfectly. Working in the Middle East, for example, where huge projects are undertaken, multilingual employees speaking Arabic and knowing the Arab culture puts you way ahead of the game straight away. For example, knowing that when meeting your prospective Arab clients, they will never talk about the project immediately, but will make general conversation before beginning discussions, is very important. A less knowledgeable person, who starts talking business straight away, may not be able to close the deal, even though you may think that you have done very well in presenting your ideas.

How to Go About It

Language recruitment is one way of getting the key personnel for a project. There is an increasing requirement for people with multi-language skills. The client may require people with both technical knowledge as well as general knowledge of the country they will be working in. Certain online companies make the job of screening, vetting, and selecting of highly qualified professionals a very important factor for language recruitment. One of the key requirements in language recruitment is how competent you are in the language, knowledge of the latest advances in the concerned industry, and the cost-wise benefit to the client. In this day and age of very tight profit margins, corruption in the bidding process for international projects, and impossible schedules, having a good and knowledgeable multilingual team in your organization may be the key difference between running a successful business or bankruptcy.
