Renting Accommodation in New Town and Old Town of Edinburgh

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and is of immense political importance for reason that it is home to the parliament of Scotland. Beside’s this it is a prominent city in the entire Europe because of its many galleries, museums and the festivals that take place in the city. It won’t be wrong to say that Edinburgh is the hub of cultural events. One of the most exciting time’s to visit Edinburgh is in August, when the International Edinburgh Festival takes place.

Edinburgh is divided into two sections, Old Town and the New Town. Both are of immense historical importance and this history is sealed in its architecture which has been greatly preserved over the years. The New Town in Edinburgh can be classified as the city’s high street. It is a busy shopping and entertainment area. On the other hand old Town is famous for political and business activities.

Accommodation in Edinburgh:

The city has accommodations to suite all tastes and budgets. It has hostels, luxury hotels, flats, apartments, houses, villas etc. These can be booked online or rented by contacting a property agent and even private landlords.

New Town in Edinburgh:

The New Town is officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is located in the heart of Edinburgh with all places of interest nearby. Contradictory to its name, the New Town a long time back but its neo-classical architecture is still preserved. All the buildings in this area of the city are listed. The value of property in this area of Edinburgh is quite high and is often considered to be an upscale accommodation. This is mainly because between the buildings there are attractive communal gardens, which makes the area more green, relaxing and peaceful. New Town is the fashion district of Edinburgh. Almost all brands, chains, pubs, restaurants and fashion boutiques can be found in the area.

Old Town in Edinburgh:

The Old Town of Edinburgh has many classical buildings and a unique medieval layout. Royal Mile is the main road of Old Town with one end by the Edinburgh Castle and the other end down to the ruins of Holyrood Abbey. There are a number of landmark locations in Edinburgh Old Town, like the Palace of Holyrood (the Queen lives here whenever in Scotland), Royal Museum of Scotland, University of Edinburgh, General Assembly Hall, Surgeon’s Hall etc. Most part of Old Town is the Edinburgh Centre, which is a very busy area and is loaded with tourist.
