Manufactured products come in various shapes and sizes, in different kinds of containers like bottles, cans, jars, and plastic bags. They also incorporate contain varied designs, logos, and colors. Apart from being customized to fit the merchandise, containers likewise help catch the attention of prospect buyers.

However, whatever size, shape, or design a product may have, if it doesn’t reach its market, it will have no use to both producer and the buying public. The product must reach its destination as it had been originally manufactured – in one piece. A damaged product will not serve its purpose and may even be a danger to the consumer.

Transporting anything from one place to another can be problematic, especially if it involves something fragile or perishable like food. Any damage it sustains along the way may contaminate other products. And if it’s also expensive, it can put added pressure to the manufacturer.

It is essential, therefore, that care be given to its packaging; that no harm comes to it while on transport. When a product, usually in bulk, is conveyed by air, land, rail, or sea to various markets, certain risks occur along the way that may affect its quality. There are many factors that may contribute to this, but mostly, it’s in the manner of handling.

Handle with care is a sign commonly overlooked ignored in some cargo handling areas. It’s not a matter of unconcern; it’s usually due to the pressure of dealing with a large volume of materials. Hence, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide their products with the necessary protection. This can be a Stretch wrap on shipping pallets or heavy bulk products to minimize the possibility of damage during transport. It can be applied by hand or with the use of a machine.

Steel strap is another protective device to ensure no harm will affect your products on their way to your intended destination. It can be made of low carbon cold-rolled steel designed for light to medium-duty applications. Or it can also be made of high carbon heat-treated steel for medium to heavy-duty chores, where extra strength and flexibility are required.

If you want an economical and light-weight strapping with excellent elongation and initial recovery characteristics, you may use a Plastic strap to protect your packaging materials. It can either be made of polypropylene or polyester plastic and may be an effective replacement for steel strapping.
