Planning a Weekend Getaway for Stags

Stag Weekends are generally planned for the groom before his wedding day to celebrate his last days as a bachelor. It is usually planned by his best man and is underlined by a strong feeling of male bonding. The idea is to get together and have a blast!

Planning the Getaway:

A lot of planning has to be done before. Usually the groom’s best man does this in consultation with him. The destination and the activities to be done there are all decided according to the groom’s preferences. The list of friends to be invited is drawn up and invitation cards sent. A budget is worked out and everyone is informed accordingly. The mode of transport is decided and train or air tickets are bought. Hotel bookings have to be done beforehand. Then the party begins!

Ideal Destination:

Activities:

Various activities are planned to keep the stags busy or else they can laze around if they wish to. Usually mornings are taken up by sightseeing and exploring the place of their choice. Then they can opt for activities like paintball, go- carting, bowling, rifle shooting or drop in for a football match to keep their hearts racing and adrenaline pumping. If it is near the beach, they can go for boating, surfing or yachting. During nighttime, after cocktails followed by a wholesome dinner, they can go to the various nightclubs, discos, bars or pubs and drink to their hearts content. For the more adventurous ones there are strip bars as well!

Caution!

However, it is always wise to exercise caution and make sure the stags especially the groom does not land in any undesirable situation.
