How Tabie Kim Sought to Teach the Truth

Being born from parents who once defected from North Korea, Tabie Kim had the opportunity to hear stories about injustice from those who experienced a very brutal form of it first-hand. All those countless stories about people getting unjustly executed for practically no reason has stirred up a certain rage in the young girl, a desire to spread the truth about the atrocities of which humans are capable of. She believed that the only thing which has really changed throughout the ages were the methods we use to bring pain and suffering on each other. She wholeheartedly agreed with George Santayana who said his book The Life of Reason wrote one of the most famous quotes ever: "Those who cannot remember history are bound to repeat it". Tabie Kim believed that in order to have a better tomorrow humans must first come to realize the mistakes they have committed in the past so as not do it again.

Even though Kim Tara Tabie came from a somewhat poor family, that did not stop her from reaching her goal, and a big source of motivation for her was a dear friend by the name of Myunghee Chun Kim. As a matter of fact, Myunghee Chun Kim offered more help than just motivation as her family was actually quite rich and in many occasions she filled Tabie's fridge when times got rough. She would even help Kim Tara Tabie purchase the various books she needed to complete her course. Needless to say, those were some of the toughest years Tabie had to endure, but she always saw the light at the end of the tunnel and simply kept on digging until she finally became what she always dreamt of becoming: a renowned history teacher.

Kim Tara Tabie was finally able to teach younger generations the mistakes which their predecessors made in hopes of showing them the path which they do not want to take. Perhaps Tabie Kim is not going to revolutionize the world herself, but she is definitely helping those who are going to be in charge of the future to make the right decisions.
