So then it goes without saying that using an annealing oven for glass will really increase its durability and make it far more suitable for lasting use.
For other types of materials, you can also reap similar benefits. Steel can become far more uniform and thus stronger when it cools. You are literally melting out the stress that has built up when you are working with materials which are subjected to heat changes during their formation. When you heat something up and cool it, you’ll have a clash of temperatures which causes the stress to build within the material.
Remember that you can also use heat recovery systems to harness the heat you may lose in your annealing ovens or kilns. There are always great ways to couple big machines and systems like this so that you are running a sustainable operation!
