Customer Experience Management- Tips to Retain Valued Customers

Customer experience management is important for a business to make sure there are repeat customers who come back again and again. You have to give an excellent customer experience to get two benefits. Good customer experience will bring back the customers in future. Secondly, it will also lead to involuntary referrals which will increase the number of customers your business has. The first step is to identify the pool of customers from whom you get maximum profit. They ``are your loyal customers to your brand and do business often without waiting for a year end clearance sale or other such events.

You can organize customer retention programs, which tend to identify such customers and reward them with free gift vouchers, special discounts before the actual sale starts, privileged customer events and even free trips. Most importantly, you must make use of their feedback and what they would like to see in order to continue their business. Managing customer experience is, therefore, about identifying customers that like your products and services and take their valuable suggestions and feedback. .

It is important to balance what is practical and what is preferable from a customer’s perspective. For example, a restaurateur would want to know what his most loyal customers think about the music and the ambience, apart from the actual quality of the menu. Sometimes, smaller things make a big difference and the best part is changing them doesn’t even take much effort or cost. Similarly, first time customers can also be asked what made them choose you over competitors and you are likely to find things that you are doing well, whether it is promotions, the look and feel of a store or online site or the quality of staff that you have.
