Buying Secrets: What You Should Know About Minivans

If you walk up to your friends right now and asked them what kind of car they think most soccer moms drive, chances are, the first thing that’s going to pop into their head is the minivan. Popular culture has always associated the minivan with the soccer mom, and this has changed how people see the minivan. Soccer moms and minivans are now inseparable ideas, but does this cliché really reflect what a minivan has to offer?

If you have ever seen a movie where a mom has to pick up her kid at the park after soccer practice, chances are, that mom was driving a minivan. Media seems to like perpetuating the idea that soccer moms drive minivans, and nothing much is being done to correct it. Regardless of this stereotype, the truth is, however, most minivans are better than other car models.

Once you get past the stigma that has been attached to minivans, you’d see that they are better in many respects than their cooler counterparts, like sports utility vehicles (SUV) and sedans. Car experts have compared minivans with SUVs in the past and have concluded that minivans are better than SUVs with regard to legroom, as well as passenger and luggage capacity. Minivans are also much cheaper than other models, averaging at only $24000 when brand new.

As mentioned before, minivans are cheaper than other models with the same specs. Now, think about just how much money you’d save if you buy a used one. A used minivan would cost significantly less than an SUV, for example, and still offer a roomier cab and, with some models, better mileage.

Buying a used car also doesn’t carry the same amount of risks that it did a few decades ago. Used minivans on the used car market today are dealer-certified to be in great shape, and the sheer number of cars on the used car market gives you a lot of options when it comes to choosing the right vehicle for you.

If you want to find a car dealership that sells Used minivans, or you want to find out more about the benefits of owning a minivan, you can check out Autos.AOL.com or Cars.com for more information. Sites like these will have you eager to check out a minivan the next time you walk into a dealership, particularly now that you know the secrets this vehicle holds.
