Valuable contribution of traditional methods of India in every sphere

It is common to have varied principles, casts, creeds and cultures in each religion which is practiced throughout the world. In fact, these principles are guided by certain set of beliefs as well as worshipping pattern. Hinduism is indeed an exemplar religion appreciated worldwide based on the worshipping techniques. These conventional methods are unique ranging from lighting small lamps for worshipping in temples and homes. These lamps are filled with oil which glows in the temple as well as home signify the sacred during worshipping the Lord. Diyasin India is a name given to these oil lamps. Brass akhandjyoti (lamp) has replaced the oil lamps utilized in Indian temples and homes.

It is a widespread belief in Hinduism to light a lamp or fire which marks glory of God. This act is considered to be holy to denote the presence of almighty around us even if there is darkness all around the world. Light is symbolic of being the source of energy whereas, fire is regarded as a driving force. A utensil which is commonly known as Brass akhandjyoti (lamp) is used for lighting it in the temple or religious place at home. The space in this tool resembles a small bowl to carry oil to support the wick for lighting. The outlet created in this lamp lets user to insert cotton inside it to support the lighting for longer time. Akhandjyoti is a lamp which can be burnt for many days when sacred festivities are carried out.

Initially, people relied on natural methods to cure health ailments or disorders. The natural treatments utilized fresh herbs those were processed naturally. In the absence of chemical solution or medicine, these herbs were effective in treating the diseases practically. The raw materials like herbs, grains, spices were finely powdered in a device called marble mortar and pestle stone. The powder which was formed to serve as an effective medicine.

A tool which is used in Indian kitchen for grinding is known as marble mortar and pestle stone. This accessory has got a bowl-like structure and the pestle is the material that finely crushes the herbs and spices. These items are grounded by the movement of the pestle pressing them in the mortar. Strong pressure of hand is helpful in grinding these herbs or seeds in a powdered form. Since there were no blenders or choppers in the ancient time, our ancestors employed these traditional methods. On a whole, these ancient Indian methods are valued at present also for someone who believes in home-made spices or treatments with the spices.
