Cookware for commercial purposes is available in wide-ranging sizes and functions. New products are found in the markets very often making the old appliances obsolete. Obviously, it’s not lucrative to keep changing your kitchen equipment often. However, it is wise to select the right type of items and those that provide a good functionality.

Cooking tasty dishes depends a lot on the right utensils available for the chef. Steel cookware looks good but is not recommended for commercial purposes. This is because you may not get a consistent cooking in steel vessels. A copper bottom steel vessel is fine which helps to provide even heating. Cast-iron vessels are ideal for commercial cooking. They are not only inexpensive but will also last for ages. Avoid aluminum vessels as they can get tarnished with acidic food. Copper utensils although expensive are not recommended as they can get rusted easily.

Commercial Pots and Pans

Commercial pots and pans are different from those generally used for home cooking. Commercial utensils are large and made to withstand great heat. They should be made of durable material since they are for rough use. Buy the right utensils for your catering or hotel needs so that they are of good use. Here are the types used in the hospitality industry.

Stockpots are those pots used for cooking soup or stew. You can get sauce pots which are useful for thick soups or to make sauce. Pasta is made in a stock pot with a mesh for draining pasta. Braziers are big cooking pots used in hotels and other commercial establishments. Meat braising is done in these pots. Double boilers are another type which has pots at two levels, the lower pot for boiling water and the top one for the food. Sauté pans have sides that are high so that food does not spill out while being sautéed.

If you are a restaurateur, you will be interested in buying cookware online. In fact, buying online has several advantages; firstly, you can come across several brands and compare the prices without the hassle of going around from one shop to the other.
