People spend most of their time outside their home for both professional and personal reasons. This is a great opportunity for advertising because when they place advertisements at the right location and the consumer is able to see it at the right time; they will have an increased call to action or power of persuasion towards the consumer. And advertising outside people’s homes is called outdoor advertising.

There are a variety of platforms and media for outdoor advertising so it is important that advertisers and marketers do the following before they purchase an outdoor media:

1. Find out what platform or media it is that you need for permanent or temporary advertising.

2. Find out the rules and regulations for advertising at your target location.

3. Make sure that your advertisement is visible enough
