This may be an old school strategy that it proves to be effective in terms of communicating with people on a personal note. 1: Promote the benefits. To make your material special and keep-worthy, put the benefits you provide on it. 5: Mail consistently. Direct mail is not a one time affair. People have to at lease see your message seven times before they will make a response. This makes it important to send your direct mail pieces regularly to your customers and prospects. For instance, if you decide to do a postcard campaign, be sure to send your card every month or quarter. The more people see of you the more they will remember you.
